The Tugmutton Allotments Limited company (formed in December 2019) is affiliated to Bromley Allotments & Leisure Gardens Limited (BALGL) and superseded the Tugmutton Allotment Association (TAA) in February 2020. The Tugmutton allotments comprise of two adjacent sites in Lovibonds Avenue and Willow Walk just a few minutes walk from Locksbottom in Kent. Both sites are secured by robust fencing and locked gates to deter uninvited and unwelcome intruders. There are currently 105 plots across both sites, varying in size from small raised beds to large plots as well as two enclosures used exclusively for bee hives. All plots have access to nearby water troughs and each year we take delivery of free fresh horse manure from police stables which is available to all 112 members. Members are expected to attend at least three work parties a year which are aimed at keeping common areas neat and tidy to ensure we have a pleasurable environment in which to grow our own fruit and veg . The company is managed by a committee of volunteers who meet regularly and strive to maintain the high standards expected and to ensure the safety and well being of all its members.
